Data Access & Deletion Requests

How to exercise your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar privacy laws on HelloHoliday.

Last updated July 1, 20261 min read

If you have a HelloHoliday account, you can exercise most privacy rights from Account settings, under Privacy: request a copy of your data, correct your information, or ask us to delete your account.

Rights available to you

  • Access: receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Restriction: limit how we process your data in specific cases.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, including marketing.
  • Withdraw consent: for any processing that relies on your consent.

How to make a request

  1. Sign in to your HelloHoliday account.
  2. Open Account settings, then Privacy, and choose Request data export or Delete account.
  3. If you can't sign in, email staywithhelloholiday@gmail.com from the address on your account. Include enough information for us to verify your identity.

Response times

We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Complex requests may take up to 90 days, in which case we will keep you informed.

Data we must keep

Some records (completed bookings, payouts, tax, fraud, and safety data) must be retained for legal, tax, and safety reasons even after account deletion. These are kept for the minimum period required by law and then permanently deleted.

Complaints

If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the EU/UK this is your national supervisory authority; in California, the Attorney General's Office.
